Amnesty International Greeting Card Campaign

As Christmas is approaching and we are getting to that time again where we are thinking about all the presents we need to buy for our families and all the cards we need to send out to our friends, let's take a moment to think about those who aren't as fortunate as we are and who have seen adversity and injustice because of who they are, where they live and the rights they fight for.

So if you can, please take a moment to buy a few cards and send them or their families your support, thoughts and best wishes. More information about this can be found on the Amnesty Greeting Card Campaign.

The Amnesty Brum Group are having an event this Thursday to write greeting cards so please do join them if you can.

I have decided to send my cards to the following people:

This is just a subset of people who have faced injustice and adversity. There are many out there who need your help and support, so please show it if you can.

Many of these are women, who are being denied their basic human right and liberties based on their gender, we know this isn't right. It even exists in a western society but in a less obvious way. We should try and eradicate this prejudice and perception that women are inferior, so please start now.

If you don't wish to send cards, you can also take e-mail actions. One of those is to Stop Sexual Violence Against Nicaraguan Girls. So please do, it only takes a few minutes to write an e-mail and Amensty even provide templates to do so.
